Wapakoneta WRF (CMAR)

Project Description:

Peterson Construction was selected and awarded a contract for this CMAR project in March 2021.  Scope of the work included a new WWTP adjacent to the existing facility complete with coarse and fine screening, influent pumping, grit/grease removal, Bioreactors, three (3) circular Final Clarifiers, Blowers, Chemical Feed, Post Aeration, and Solids Upgrades.  The Preconstruction Phase started in March 2021 and was finalized with the GMP at the 60% design stage in December 2021.  During this time, PCC offered exhaustive design review comments and value engineering (VE) proposals at each stage of design.  Cost savings ideas proposed by PCC exceeded $15 million.  Many of our ideas were accepted and incorporated into the design at a savings of over $9 million to the project.
