Piqua WWTP

Piqua WWTP is a $40.3 million expansion which started in September 2017.  Included in this project is a new 21.5 MGD Influent Pump Station and Headworks Building with a wetwell depth of 42’ which required a significant amount of rock to be removed.  Also included is a 210’ x 215’ Oxidation Ditch, (3) 120’ diameter Secondary Clarifier Tanks, a new Secondary Control Building, and replacement of their existing chlorine feed system with a new UV disinfection system.  A new sludge processing system is being provided which includes rehabilitating their existing process tanks for use as sludge processing and storage tanks as well as adding a new Biosolids Dewatering Structure. This project includes several difficult piping tie-ins which require large bypass pumping systems.
