Project Description:
Peterson Construction was low bidder on this traditional design-bid-build project in May 2020 and was subsequently awarded a contract. PCC was nearly $7 million lower than the second-place bidder. Scope of the work included a new 7.5 MGD WTP on a greenfield site including a new Administration and Process Building. Major equipment associated with the treatment facility included new surface water Pretreatment Basins, Groundwater Aeration, Chemical Feed Systems, Lime/Soda Ash Storage and Feed Equipment, four (4) 55’ diameter Solids Contact Clarifiers, Lime Sludge Pump Station, Recarbonation and Ozone Basins, Ozone Generation and Carbon Dioxide Feed Equipment, Gravity Filters, two (2) 1.0 MG buried concrete Clearwells, High Service Pumps, Backwash Settling and Recycle Tanks, Submersible Pump Station, earthen Lime Lagoons, a standby Diesel Generator, and associated buried utilities.
